International interest for the Swedish Arbitration Portal
More than 8 300 international visitors consulted the Swedish Arbitration Portal last year. The Portal, first introduced in May 2012, provides free access to English translations of Swedish court decisions on arbitration issues.
The Swedish Arbitration Portal contains decisions from all instances of the Swedish courts on issues related to both international and domestic arbitrations.
The Portal is facilitated by the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (the SCC). It is open and free of charge.
The idea behind the Portal is to make Swedish case law in matters of arbitration accessible to the international community. The unofficial English translations of court decisions published in the Portal are provided by the SCC, with the assistance of Swedish arbitration practitioners.
|Content to the Portal is constantly growing. If you cannot find the court case you are looking for – send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will have the decision translated and published.|
Since its introduction, the use of the Portal has expanded and today it has a truly global outreach. Last year the United States, Russia and the United Kingdom were the top three origins for international visitors.
The Portal can be accessed through the SCC’s website, www.sccinstitute.com.
