
Addressing the future at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum
At the recently concluded Forum, SCC Secretary General Annette Magnusson discussed the future of international arbitration in a panel titled “The Current State and Future of Arbitral Institutions: from Competition to Cooperation?”.
The panel discussions took its starting point in institutional cooperation and dialogue, including initiatives to support the efficiency of arbitral proceedings.
In her introduction, Annette Magnusson, addressed complexity and interconnectivity as defining elements of today’s world, the need for international arbitration to adapt in a fast changing environment, and cybersecurity.
The SCC Platform, launching in September, is an example that will simplify secure communication from request to award between the SCC, the parties and the tribunal.
