Conclusions and recordings from SCC Online Seminars, Spring 2020

The SCC Online Seminars Serie has come to an end – for this season. Given the success of this initiative, the initiative will continue already this Fall.

The sessions were initiated as an effort to maintain dialogue with the international arbitration community, when we for different reason could not meet in person and has become a valuable channel to meet and discuss, regardless of circumstance. The interest for the seminar series far outdid the initial expectations and as the last session recording for this season is published, the conclusion is that this channel of communication is a great compliment to the live discussions and interactions we are used to. With thousands of community members signed up to join the sessions, the conversation is every bit as active and lively as pre-corona, albeit in a different shape. In addition to this, we note with great pleasure that the participants in the sessions includes guests that comes from parts of the world we might otherwise not easily reach. When the travel bans and lockdowns has made it harder for us all to meet, it has also allowed everyone to be equally close - just one click away from each other.

The digitalization has allowed us to be apart not just in space but also in time, all recordings from the sessions are now available for streaming. The seminars and panels held in Swedish, English or Russian had a wide range of topics. Below is a list of the sessions with a short description and a link to the videos.

The SCC is planning the next set of sessions and invite input on new topics that may be of interest. Don’t hesitate to reach out to head of business development Lise Alm (lise.alm@chamber.se) with proposals for topics or comments and feedback on the sessions so far.

It is also possible to arrange a separate seminar for individual teams on a relevant topic. Email to arbitration@chamber.se if you want more information.
