SCC x 3 at China Arbitration Week

On 6 November, SCC Secretary General Annette Magnusson will address “Digitalization in Arbitration – opportunities and efficiency”, and ”ISDS Reform and Climate Change” at events during the China Arbitration Week. SCC will also contribute at the Belt and Road Arbitration Institutions’ Roundtable forum on 7 November.

The breakfast event on 6 November is co-hosted by the SCC together with CIETAC and Magnusson Law Firm and will target digitalization in an international arbitration setting.  Experts will provide insights into the administration of international arbitration to truly meet the users’ expectations in a digital world. Topics include cyber security and new tools for case management, such as the SCC Platform, and navigating complexity in CIETAC cases.

The China Arbitration Summit on 6 November targets among other things how to make alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration, play an active role in global governance. SCC will contribute in a session about investor-state arbitration and speak on the topic “ISDS Reform and Climate Change – Ideas for the Future from the Stockholm Treaty Lab”.

On November 7, representatives from major arbitration institutions and professionals from various industries will explore solutions and prospects of the development of arbitration spurred by the Belt and Road Initiative.
