SCC at Paris Arbitration Week

Anja Ipp (SCC Legal Counsel), participated in the second edition of the Jeantet “Arbitrating in CEE and CIS” roundtable that was held during the Paris Arbitration Week on Thursday 4 April. The topic was “Transparency, Accountability and Choice of Arbitrators”.

First, the panel discussed the appointment of arbitrators and shared their practices and various criteria which they apply when appointing arbitrators.

Second, Catherine Rogers presented the Arbitrator Intelligence tool, which is designed to assist the parties and the arbitration institutions in choosing a suitable arbitrator for the case.

Last, the publication of awards and the approaches of different arbitral institutions towards confidentiality was on the agenda.

The panel consisted of: Ivana Blagojević (Deputy Counsel, ICC)Beka Injia (Secretary General, GIAC)Anja Ipp (Legal Counsel, SCC)Catherine A. Rogers (Founder of Arbitrator Intelligence) and Rinaldo Sali (Vice-Director General, CAM). The roundtable was once again moderated by Ioana Knoll-Tudor (Jeantet).
