Report from GAR Live Stockholm 2019
On May 21, the 4th Annual GAR Live was held at the SCC premises in Stockholm.
Chaired by James Hope (Vinge) and Jakob Ragnwaldh (Mannheimer Swartling), the event kept the mostly Nordic audience captive and entertained from early morning until evening. The most lively debate of the day arose over the question, “Is oral advocacy overrated?”
Among the speakers were SCC legal counsel Anja Ipp, Andrea Carlevaris of BonelliErede, Philip Clifford QC of Latham & Watkins, and Dmitry Dyakin, Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners. Catherine Rogers (Penn State and Queen Mary) gave the keynote address, drawing several parallels between arbitral appointments and baseball.
A full report from the event will be published by GAR in the coming weeks.
