Screening of the Quiet Triumph in Rome

The Quiet Triumph: How Arbitration Changed the World had its Italian premiere in Rome on 9 February 2018.

The screening was arranged and hosted by Legance in Rome and in collaboration with the Italian branch of the International Chamber of Commerce, the Program in Rule of Law for Development (PROLAW) of the Loyola University Chicago, the Milan Arbitration Chamber and the SCC.

The screening was preceded by presentation of Legance’s Pro Bono work and projects, held by Cecilia Carrara, partner at Legance in charge of the arbitration practice and coordinating the corporate social activities of the Firm. Representatives of Milano Arbitration Chamber (Benedetta Coppo), ICC Italy (Maria Beatrice Deli) and SCC (Natalia Petrik) introduced the film by providing examples of peace dispute resolution through arbitration.

The event attracted a diverse audience of over 40 people, consisting of law students, academics and arbitrators. The presentation and the movie attained substantial interest from the audience, not only from those working directly with law or arbitration.

The interest in the movie led to the planning of another screening in Milan in September 2018.
