Stockholm Treaty Lab challenged teams to draft a model treaty that encourages green investments while at the same time serves the needs of both States and investors. The challenge is accepted by teams from all over the world that represent a wide range of expertise.
The submissions showcase out-of-the-box ideas from using blockchain to crowdfund for green investments to incentivizing green investments while at the same time creating mechanism to ensure a just transition to a low-carbon economy.
In the spirit of celebrating these great ideas, the Treaty Lab has decided to publish all complete submissions on the Stockholm Treaty Lab website, to the extent that the teams agreed.
In addition, all teams have also been invited to submit an article for the Special Issue of Journal of International Arbitration where they explain the innovative ideas in their model treaty. The Special Issue is scheduled to be published in February 2019.
