SCC lectures in Investment Arbitration Masterclass
SCC is giving a one-day training at the 11th Executive Energy Training Programme for Young Professionals: Investment Arbitration Masterclass, organized by the International Energy Charter Secretariat on 8 November.
This is the third time SCC participates in the Executive Energy Training Programme. This year the conference will focus on the practicalities of investment arbitration and will take place on 6 - 8 November 2017 at the Energy Charter Secretariat in Brussels.
As a part of the entire Investment Arbitration Masterclass, SCC organizes a one-day training on investment arbitration at the SCC on 8 November. SCC Legal Counsels Natalia Petrik and Alison Tibell will give lectures in two separate panels that will address constitution of the Tribunal and commencement of proceeding. The aim is to guide participants through the main stages of an SCC investment arbitration in a very practical sense.
Upon completion of the training, participants will benefit from grasping a clear understanding, know-how and skills necessary in order to help them face a typical investment arbitration process in a confident manner.
The SCC is one of three possible forums for investment treaty disputes in the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT). Over the years, SCC has collaborated with the Energy Charter Secretariat organizing in various events.
