SCC in Sao Paolo: Arbitration today and tomorrow
SCC will take part in the IV Pan-American Arbitration Congress on 23 – 24 October in Sao Paolo.
The two-day conference is organized by Center for Arbitration and Mediation in Sao Paolo with the theme “Arbitration today and arbitration tomorrow”. Speakers will debate among others the following topics:
- Arbitration involving state-owned companies
- Arbitration in international public opinion
- Jurisprudence in arbitration, is it desirable?
SCC Vice Chairperson Patricia Shaughnessy will contribute as a speaker in a panel that will address best practices of administration of international commercial arbitration.
Other than arbitration lawyers in Brazil and in the region, speakers consist of government counsel in investment treaty arbitration, law professor and representatives from other arbitral institutions.
