SCC in Moscow: Seminar on the new SCC Rules and the Quite Triumph Premier

On February 16, the SCC together with the Embassy of Sweden in Moscow held a seminar on the new features of the 2017 SCC Arbitration Rules which were launched in January 2017. The event took place at the Swedish Embassy in Moscow.

The speakers included Annette Magnusson, SCC Secretary General, and Roman Zykov, Secretary General of the Russian Arbitration Association, as well as partners from the leading law firms in London, Stockholm and Moscow. They addressed not only the introduction of the new provisions in the SCC Arbitration Rules, such as consolidation and joinder as well as treaty-based arbitration – but also how they can be applied effectively in order to reduce time and costs of proceedings.

More than 80 attorneys, in-house and law firm lawyers attended the event.

The seminar was concluded by the premier of the film “The Quiet Triumph: How Arbitration Changed the World”.
