Just published: Article on New SCC Arbitration Rules in China Business Law Journal
In a newly-published article in China Business Law Journal, SCC Legal Counsel Anja Håvedal-Ipp highlights the new provisions in the 2017 SCC Arbitration Rules.
SCC Arbitration Rules are among the most widely used in commercial and investment arbitration globally. On 1 January 2017, the SCC launched revised versions of its arbitration rules as well as rules for expedited arbitrations. This article explains several new features of the revised rules, among others provisions on summary procedure, multiparty and multi-contract and amicus curiae for investment arbitration.
The relationship between the SCC and China goes back since the 1970s when China recognized the SCC as a forum for resolving international disputes.
