Great interest in The Quiet Triumph in Kuala Lumpur
The first screening in South East Asia of The Quiet Triumph: How Arbitration Changed the World was organized in Kuala Lumpur.
Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA) organized and hosted the screening of The Quiet Triumph at their premises in Kuala Lumpur on 26 September 2017. Around a hundred people attended the event, mostly law students and arbitration practitioners in the city.
The screening kicked off with a presentation on the historical development of arbitration in Malaysia by Tan Sri Dato’ Cecil Abraham, Senior Partner at Cecil Abraham & Partners and KLRCA Advisory Board Member. Tatiana Polevshchikova, KLRCA Senior International Case Counsel thereafter made a presentation about KLRCA. SCC Communications Consultant Sukma Dwi Andrina presented the movie for the audience.
Alonso Mayordomo Castilla, Senior International Case Counsel at KLRCA told the SCC:
“'The Quiet Triumph' reveals the unsung heroes of international arbitration. The movie tells a story about a collective of individuals who fought for the development of arbitration neither because they were trained to nor told to, but because they were destined to. It is time now for the world to acknowledge the significant impact that these practitioners had into international arbitration. Furthermore, throughout the documentary, the spectator realizes about the important role arbitration has played to keep the peace in different areas and periods, being absolutely remarkable. KLRCA is pleased in becoming the host of the movie screening of 'The Quiet Triumph' in Malaysia”.
