
Investment arbitration seminar in Stockholm for the FIAM Pre-moot in Uppsala
For the second year in a row, the Swedish Pre-Moot for the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot will be arranged in Uppsala. SCC will host a seminar on investment arbitration in Stockholm the day before with Prof. Kaj Hobér as one of the speakers.
FIAM is an international student competition focusing on investment protection. The Moot involves a fictitious dispute (case study) arising out of international investment protection law and provisions of a Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT). The FIAM pre-moot in Uppsala on 27 February is jointly organized by Uppsala University, SCC and Mannheimer Swartling. The day before, on the 26 February, the SCC will host a pre-moot seminar on investment arbitration with lawyers from the SCC and leading practitioners. The agenda holds the following:
- Emergency proceedings under the SCC Rules
- Practical aspects of working on a large investment arbitration
- The Embassy Construction Case
The seminar on 26 February will be followed by a reception at Mannheimer Swartling. Read more in the program:
The following teams are registered for the pre-moot: Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, International University Mitso, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Peking University School of Transnational Law, Sciences PO on Paris, University of Luxembourg, and Uppsala University Team.
