
SCC attends Energy Forum in Kazakhstan
Energy disputes will be specifically addressed by SCC Secretary General Annette Magnusson at the 10th edition of Kazenergy Eurasian Forum in Astana, Kazakhstan 29 September – 1 October.
The theme of this year’s Energy Forum is “New Energy Horizons: Prospects of Cooperation and Investments”. Central points of discussion during this meeting will be the current development and challenges within the energy sphere, including the development of long-term trade-economic and energy partnerships in order to create global energy stability.
SCC Secretary General Annette Magnusson will address investment arbitration and effective dispute resolution of energy disputes in a round table discussion with representatives from government, organisations and energy companies. The panel will include:

An introductive discussion on basic mechanisms of the regulations of energy disputes, as well as for encouragement and protection of energy investments.

Debate on issues concerning international energy disputes –from a government as well as business perspective.
This year, participants from over 80 companies within the energy sector, and representatives from government, organizations and institutions, researcher and academics will attend the meeting.
