The Quiet Triumph will be screened for the second time in the United States. This time, Dechert LLP is hosting a screening in their offices in Washington D.C.
After the U.S premiere of The Quiet Triumph: How Arbitration Changed the World was organized at Columbia Law School in New York in May 2017, the second screening in the country will be held in Washington D.C.
Dechert LLP in Washington D.C. is hosting the screening at their offices, which will start with a mingle. Arif H. Ali, co-chair of Dechert's international arbitration practice will hold opening remarks and SCC Secretary General Annette Magnusson will present the movie.
Mr. Ali says: “We are honored to host a screening of ‘The Quiet Triumph’ with the Arbitration Institute. The continued vitality of international arbitration requires that the public and practitioners alike can appreciate for themselves its history, its integrity, and its benefits to international commerce and development. We very much look forward to sharing this important film.”
The Quiet Triumph features some arbitration experts based in the United States, among others the Past Immediate President of the International Bar Association David Rivkin, who is also SCC Vice Chairperson. In the film, he highlights that arbitration is a mechanism which enables parties to find ways to agree on, and therefore essential to develop economies and create jobs.
