SCC's Anja Håvedal-Ipp joins SWAN board
At the SWAN meeting on 8 March 2017, SCC Legal Counsel Anja Håvedal-Ipp was elected as the new board member, replacing the former SCC Legal Counsel Celeste Salinas Quero.
The Swedish Women in Arbitration Network is a professional network which aims to promote the visibility and active participation of women in international arbitration. The network hosts a range of activity, among others panel debate, inspirational lunch and after works. Starting with only forty members, the network has grown to include 200 members today.
As of March 2017, Anja replaces Celeste who resigned and moved back to her home country Chile.
As a legal counsel for the SCC, Anja is responsible for the administration of approximately sixty arbitrations a year. She joined the SCC in the beginning of 2015 from the global disputes practice at Jones Day in New York. She holds a juris doctorate from Columbia University, an LL.M from the University of Amsterdam, and a bachelor’s degree from Lund University.
