Time to Upgrade: Review of the Swedish Arbitration Act
Key changes proposed by the Committee in charge of revising the Swedish Arbitration Act are outlined in a recent blogpost by SCC Legal Counsel, Anja Håvedal-Ipp at the Kluwer Arbitration Blog.
The suggested revisions highlighted include the possibility to conduct set aside proceedings in English at the request of a party, and the granting of exclusive jurisdiction to the Svea Court of Appeal to deal with set aside proceedings.
It is expected that the revised Swedish Arbitration Act enters into force in July 2016.
