Stockholm bids to host the ICCA Congress 2020

The SCC, the Swedish Arbitration Association and Stockholm’s leading law firms have submitted a bid to host the ICCA Congress 2020.

The ICCA Congress is one of the most prestigious events in the arbitration world. Held every two years, the Congress attracts around a thousand members and delegates and is one of the most important confluences for the international arbitration community.

The Stockholm bid has a strong support from legal institutions, departments, universities and organizations in Sweden, as well as the legal communities in other Nordic countries and the Baltic region. The Swedish firms and Swedish branches of international firms which have expressed extra support include Baker & McKenzie, Gernandt & DanielssonLindahlLinklatersMannheimer SwartlingMaqsRoschierSetterwalls,Vinge and White & Case

The city which will have the honour to host the Congress in 2020 will be finally announced in May 2016 during the next ICCA Congress.

Stockholm hosted the ICCA Congress in 1990, and hopes for the support from the international arbitration community to 30 years later once again welcome the Congress.
