SCC yearly kick-off: Efficient dispute resolution for SMEs
Efficient dispute resolution for small to medium sized companies was the focus of the SCCs yearly kick-off seminar that was recently organized in Stockholm.
SCC Secretary General Annette Magnusson started off the evening by summarizing the work of the SCC during 2014 and presented some news to look forward to in 2015.
A panel discussed the importance of business friendly dispute resolution alternatives and how businesses could avoid disputes altogether.
The panel consisted of Christer Danielsson, partner at Frank Law Firm, Magnus Lundin, CEO of Swedish Incubators and Science Parks and Lars Nordfors, General Counsel at The Swedish Federation of Business Owners. The discussion was moderated by Jakob Ragnwaldh, Partner at Mannheimer Swartling.
The panelists discussed how cost-efficient and tailor-made dispute resolution methods may be of particular importance for SMEs and startup companies.
Magnus Lundin mentioned that business organizations such as the Swedish Federation of Business Owners provide model agreements and information on different dispute resolution alternatives to ensure that businesses plan and prepare for the event of a dispute.
Around 150 guests attended the event that included food and drinks.
